"휴스턴을 일하고 살기 좋게 만들겠습니다" 

새해에 인사말씀을 전합니다.

저는 2024년 새해를 시작하면서 휴스턴 시장으로서 한인 사회에 따뜻한 인사를 전하게 된 것이 영광이며, 또한 저의 특권으로 생각합니다. 이에 진심어린 따뜻한 마음으로 한인동포 여러분 모두에게 진심 어린 새해 축복의 인사를 전합니다.

휴스턴이 이렇게 성장하기까지 역동적인 한인 커뮤니티가 본거지의 역할을 하게 된 점은 정말 행운이 아닐 수가 없습니다. 한인 여러분의 존재는 우리 도시의 문화적 구조를 풍요롭게 하였고 축복 속에서 소중하게 여겨지는 다양성의 태피스트리를 만들기에 이르렀습니다. 

우리 도시의 다양성은 도시의 가장 큰 장점 중의 하나가 됐으며 한인사회의 기여가 이를 잘 보여주고 있습니다.

저는 한인사회의 주민은 물론 모든 휴스턴 시민들과 함께 여러가지 중요한 문제에 관하여 일할 수 있어 크게 기대가 됩니다. 휴스턴을 모든 주민들이 거주하고 일하기가 더 좋은 곳으로 만들기 위해 노력할 생각이며 그러는 동안 귀하의 통찰력과 참여를 매우 소중하게 받아들이겠습니다.

즐겁고 번영하는 새해를 맞이하시길 바랍니다. 올해는 당신과 당신의 사랑하는 사람들을 데려오는 휴스턴이 될 것입니다

I am both honored and privileged to extend my warmest greetings to the Korean American community in Houston as we commence a new year under my leadership as Mayor. With sincere warmth, I convey my heartfelt New Year's blessings to all of you.

Houston is truly fortunate to be the home of such a thriving and dynamic Korean American community. Your presence has enriched our city's cultural fabric, creating a tapestry of diversity that is celebrated and cherished. The diversity of our city is one of its greatest strengths, and the Korean American community's contributions exemplify this.

I look forward to working with you on issues important to the Korean community and all Houstonians. Your insights and participation will be invaluable as we strive to make Houston an even better place to live and work for all its residents.
